ICAI's self-service portal is a revolutionary platform that will help students as well as members during their CA journey. It is a one-stop solution to fix problems or raise tickets to fix problems that one might face during their CA journey.

From applicants & students to articles & members, even CA firms can use the portal to raise tickets for any particular that they might be facing. It is indeed a fantastic initiative by ICAI to streamline various processes.

So, in this guide, let's take a quick look at how the ICAI service portal can be used, starting from registration to raising requests or tickets for initiating a process or resolving a problem.

Step 1: Registration

To get to the self-service portal, you have to go to the main website which is https://www.icai.org/, and scroll down a little to find the self-service portal icon. Click on the same.

Once you click on this option you will be taken to the sign-in page.

Now if you have already registered, then you can skip this step and log in and check out step 2 on how to raise tickets.

But if you have not, then do read through the following.

If you are a first-time user, then click on the "First Time User (New Student)? Click Here" option under the login boxes.

You will now be asked to enter your personal details such as name, date of birth, nationality, mobile number, email address, etc. Once you get an OTP on your mobile and complete registration, you will be able to access the portal.

If you are an existing student or member then choose the "Don't Have a Login to SSP Yet? (Existing Student/Members) Click Here" option.

Enter your SRN or MRN along with the date of birth, complete validation, and registration, and enter the login portal.

Step 2: Initiating a Process or Resolving a Problem

If you are a new user and you are yet to start your CA student journey, you can log in to the portal and click on “apply for the foundation” or “apply for direct entry for new applicants”

You can then proceed to fill in all the necessary details and submit your application. You can always come back to the portal to track the status and if you have an issue, you can raise a ticket.

If you are an existing student or member, then you can log in and do multiple things.

Some of the things you can do are:

-          Make changes to your profile, such as name, date of birth, signature, address, etc.

-          Gain access to foundation letters, intermediate provisional confirmation, and provision, etc.

-          Check submitted and pending applications.

These are some of the many things that you can do in the ICAI self-service portal.

Members and articles can also access this platform for any of the issues that they may be facing or to update their details.

So, this is how you use the ICAI self-service portal. If you have any questions, you can always reach out to us for assistance at Indigolearn, where we help students with the guidance required to ace CA exams.
