If capm is greater than the expected return the security is overvaluedâ?¦ How does that make sense because if the security return is less than what capm would predict, it means that it Is undervalued and has not yet reached itâ??s full potential.
latest answer
CAPM is ideal return. Expected return means return that the security is expected to give Now if a security is giving you less than ideal return the security should trade at a lower price than ideal that means overvalued

Sir in 2nd part why are we taking investment value at market price on 1/4/2010. The investment is made on 1/4/2009, So that's the total investment right?
latest answer
If you have an FD of 100 on 1 Jan 23 and end of year FD value is 110 - the return is 10% on 1 Jan 24 FD value is 110 and on 31 Dec 24 FD value is 132 For calendar year 24 return is computed as 132/110 -1 = 20% The same logic used here also
