AS answer presentation query

Accountancy

When the question says, discuss the accounting treatment without specifically asking for journal entries... then we can answer in statement/workings format OR in journal entries... any one will do?

It depends on the kind of question. Generally where accounting treatment is asked, you have to explain provisions and conclusion. In some cases, you can add more by way of Journal Entry (working may be needed to compute amount)
