Accountancy: Acceptance of approximation in exams.

If there is a small difference between the answer key and our answers(say, 1-2), due to approximation, will they be considered as an error?If not, then to what extent will they be accepted? Also should we provide by way of footnote that there maybe small differences due to approximation?

Approximation doesnâ??t matter. There should not be very high differences.
If you want mention as footnote you can but itâ??s not necessary.

But 5 is a quite big difference, there wonâ??t be such difference. Only small variations will arise due to round off.
