For cost basis model under AS 13 , AS 10 will apply . Wat does it mean
latest answer
As per AS 10 - Investment property as defined in AS 13 will be measured using cost model. Pls refer to AS 10. AS 13 tells us the meaning of Investment Property. And that investment property will be measured using AS 10 - cost model. In other words, the revaluation model is not permitted.

I didn't get the meaning of parra titled 'Entries at par value' can anyone plz explain. step 2 and step 3 mentioned in parra also attached for reference
latest answer
This is simiilar to purchase consideration being equal to no of shares x par value. For amalgamation & consolidation, don't spend excess time on theory. Practice questions.

Amalgamation of Companies

All the other conditions met for Amalgamation in the nature of merger, if some assets like debtors, inventory are taken over after deducting certain provision. Even then can we consider this as Amalgamation in the nature of merger?
latest answer
Then the condition is violated. No adjustment is intended to be made to the book values of the assets and liabilities of the transferor company when they are incorporated in the financial statements of the transferee company except to ensure uniformity of accounting policies.

Can bonus shares be issued in lieu of dividend ?? I I am.asking coz in IT , it says like it can't be issued
latest answer
Its not a prohibition. What it says is if a company pays bonus instead of paying dividend, deduction will not be allowed. Because dividends payments are not deductible.

Dividend is calculated on facevalue or paidup value

Articles mention the rules regarding this. As per section 51, A company may, if so authorised by its articles, pay dividends in proportion to the amount paid-up on each share.
