What is the difference
latest answer
Debentures generally have a more specific purpose than other bonds. Both raise capital, debentures typically are issued to raise capital to meet the expenses of an upcoming project or to pay for a planned expansion in business.

Explain me as simple as possible what is provision for depreciation and provision for bad debts why do we use it...if I have provision for depreciation and depreciation in a sum what should I do??I'm little confused about provisions help me
latest answer
Provision for depreciation is accumulated depreciation over years. It has to be reduced from the fixed assets in the balance sheet. If prov for depreciation is given in Trial balance - as opening then add current year depreciation and show as reduction from fixed assets. Provision for bad debts is amount set aside for debtors which might be non-recoverable. It is also set off against debtors to show the realisable debtors.
