Cash flow statement Book back question number 6. 1. What is the reason the added back the provision of bad and doubtful debts to trade receivable. 2. The question did not mention that the current asset are marketable securities. But they adjusted it under investing activities. How to identify these types of items and solve it accordingly.

Y the premium on redemption on preferences shares and debentures should be added to operating activity

Is there a specific illustration you are referring to? Generally, they are added back to net profit (in case they were written off from P&L) to calculate cash flow from operating activity, as they relate to financing activity

In illustration 7 in class ,can write answer like this ,at the end of accounting period 31/3/X3 the options Lapsed=4000 estimated options vested =4000 cost per option = 90 total cost =360000 cost for the year = ( 360000*2.5/4.5) - (80000+160000) = (40000) this 40000 will transfer to the general reserve Journal Entry :- ESOP outstanding a/c Dr 40000 To General reserve a/c 40000 ( extra cost charged and accumulated transfer to general reserve )

Not an issues bro but for better presentation normally we used to write the working notes at bottom if answers even if u write the working notes first and answers later also no problem they will give u marks.
