Title of videos require change
Accountancy
answered on 05-Jun-20 17:47
Consolidated FS video 52 title and video 53 title are wrong. Video 52 should be titled downstream transactions while 53 should be titled upstream. Also within the opening 1 minute of video 53 you will find its written "Selling price of Holiding" (which is surely a copy paste job, but anyways...) it should be Subsidiary not holding. Error is identifiable by looking at the thumbnail only.

Why we treat own debentures as investment? And explain the concept of own debentures
latest answer
'Own Debentures Account', is opened in the books when a company buys its own debentures for investment purposes and not for cancellation. Company can buy its own debentures before redemption and show it as an investment at the purchase value and cancels it at the time of redemption. Also, Companies act permits buy back of securities if articles permits

Lectures 22 to 24 of Consolidated FS. If you hear audio of any one of the remaining lectures and then hear 22/23/24 you will clearly understand the difference.
latest answer
Well unfortunately that is the best possible at this time of lockdown. Once lockdown ends and all people are back to office we will try to replace it with a better quality audio. It is not as if there is too much disturbance. Request you to adjust with this for now.

latest answer
While solving problems, please refer to the illustrations provided along with notes. If the question says paid through cheque/bank, it means the amount would be credited in bank column [The solution provided in video is according to the questions provided in notes]. If it is paid by cash, then amount would be credited in cash column.
