If we have to find unit cost and total cost, whether we can find the total cost first and at last divide it by number of units to get unit cost? Because in ICAI material, they found out unit cost for each cost firsr and at last multiplying it by number of units to get the total cost. Whether we should follow that method only?

You should follow the Method which is mentioned in the ICAI Material bcz it gives stage wise or process wise Per unit cost.
