Why the administration of direct tax is difficult than indirect taxes?

Lack of administration in collection of direct taxes leads to tax evasion possible as it is paid by individuals, HUF, Firms, companies on all types of incomes. In Indirect taxes, tax is paid by person doing only business and the burden of tax is shifted to final customer.
