The difference between the cases is profit gaining ratio between the two partners when the 3rd partner retires from the partnership.

Both the cases are having three partners and they have some profit sharing ratio then one partner retires. Now the two non retiring partners share the profit in some other ratio. I think all other things are given in that book. If you don't got it, tell me.
