From ICAI material pg 13.58 (d) point ; I haven’t understood the calculation of no. Of equity shares as 40000 shares , on what basis they have taken overall share capital for calculation of equity shares to be given on purchase of vayu Ltd

Value per share = 10 + 5% = 10.5 No of shares = 420000/10.5 = 40000. Workings attach3d.
