siva chaitanyaThis is my answer
3.125 years. It is not 3 years and 0.125 months... 0.125 should be multiplied by 365 in order to get days and by 12 in order to get months. Why did you multiply by 30?

Mam, then in illustration 11 they gave 3.556 months as 3 months and 17 days (0.556Ã?30)

siva chaitanyaMam can you please tell how to compute. Only that one I have doubt in that lesson.
0.125 years = 0.125 x 12 months = 1.5 months you can take it as either 1.5 months or 45 days

In what way does the name "Sriram" sound like the name of a lady to you? Secondly please see the ICAI solution - they have rounded off 37.5 months to 38 months. That is not correct - it should be 37.5 months

Firstly it is 45 days from jan 1st and not March 1st That is mid feb Secondly I already told you institute material rounded of 37.5 months to 38 months and hence mid feb is rounded off to March 1st Not sure what is your confusion Please read all messages carefully and see ICAI solution.
