The sentence is active because the subject actively carries out the action. Passive: The subject is still in a passive state, and the action affects the subject. passive means "showing no reaction"

Whenever words like 'to eat,to write ' appears, Just add 'TO BE EATEN ,TO BE WRITTEN' . Rest part remains the same.
