A persuasive essay should not be written in first person (I or me) as it is an argumentative essay and it is always written in present tense. . Expository essay (newspaper articles, how-to manuals, and assembly instructions. It is the most frequent type of academic writing) is mostly in an objective, third-person perspective ("he," "she," or "it"). Both Persuasive and Expository essays â?? can have generally 5 paras (Issue / Introduction, Side or argument/ main body & conclusion) but the examiner will give guidelines.
