BIOLOGICAL ASSETS

Sir, AS 10 excludes biological assets other than Bearer plants from its scope. That indicates Plants including Bearer plants are Assets. But How can the Future economic benefits from a plant can be measured reliably??

Assumption thats it If u take mango tree.It will fullfill the 3 conditions u already knew.we just belive that It will give economic benefit in some season. But lack of nutrition, fertiliser it didnt give.even though it is bilogical bearer asset. Eg: u can take any big machine in factory, may be it repaired for some time, it wont give economic benefit for some times, even though it dont give, it will be asset.because we will reapair and it will give future economic benefits.

The criteria is that it would give economic benefits in future. Measurability of future benefit may not be possible always.
