I didn't understand the 7th adjustment, is the bank account increased by 7,40,000 or reduced ?

When the amount is debited in bank account the overdraft balance will increase. So as per the cash book we will reduce it.

As , wrong debit to the cash book will result into increase in overdraft balance and cash book balance is less then we need to add it in bank reconciliation statement.hope understood
