That's why I add 100

Yes, you are right..... Its discount received when payment was made That while payment being made to supplier 100 discount received also was recorded as payment so we have to add back to the cash book balance to arrive at passbook

What is the wrong in entry ?

Interest received included in bank column i.e if 100 instead off discount column entered in bank column, which increased in bank balance So if BRS starting from bank book should be reduced with 100 to match the bank statement balance
