What is the difference between Cheques paid into bank and Cheques deposited into bank

Both mean the same.
Assume I have a loan of 1 lakh to bank and I paid it through a cheque In other case I have 1 lakh with me which I have deposited in my account Is it not the difference

First case is cheque issued.
But that is something when we pay to other person using a cheque
