In question 3 provided in the questions In listed securities we can take benefits of the indexation if the rate is 20% and no indexation if the rate is 10%. So how we can take it without indexation benefits in case of listed debentures Indexation benefits not available for the securities under section 112A Rite ? Can you plzz reply This is indexation benefits is confusing.

For listed securities (other than a unit) or zero coupon bond You have to compute tax liability without indexation and with indexation. Pay lower of two.

For listed bonds and debentures, long term capital gains are taxed at 10%. There is no benefit of indexation available for such securities.
