Can I get a career in fields such as investment banking, corporate finance, risk management without actually doing articleship by doing articleship in mid size firm and holding any All india rank. Any tips for me to get into those fields. Is it possible??

Typically Corporate Finance & Risk management are areas where CAs are expected to work. Coming specific to Investment Banking - You need to demonstrate specific skill set which CA alone may not be able to provide unless you have a stock market experience of your own. Additional qualification like CFA helps.
Ofcourse yes, articleship in big firms do add value to your resume and career...but it is not the only thing that help you grow. There are many aspirants done articleship in small or mid-sized firm and find jobs in big firm On the flip side, there are ones who done articleship in big firm but can placed in big firm after finals. So, everything depends on your skills and what kinda learning you get in your articles matter All the best!
