According to Indian Contract act,1872 sec 11 An agreement with a minor is viod-ab-intio and the money lender who gave him loan cannot claim his amount and the watch should be returned to the minor. Incase of a minor in the contract, the contract should be in a way that the minor is beneficiary in the contract.

This situation falls under the provision liability of minor in case of torts(civil wrong). In the given case, the shopkeeper can recover the laptop from the minor as minor cannot be help personally responsible.
