Direct competition is when company *offers the same product* Better example for direct competition could be:JK tyres and ceat tyres direct competition as they both sell tyres while indirect competition refers to a business whose products or services are different from yours but potentially could satisfy the same need and reach the same goal. If staying awake is the goal, both coffee or tea will do the job.

Sir , in direct competition example, why not Coco cola and Pepsi are Substitute ? What is the difference between substitute and similar ? Sir.
