Contract of Indemnity Section 124 of Indian Contract Act defines â??Contract of indemnityâ?? along with example in the act.â??A contract by which one party promises to save the other from loss caused to him by the conduct of the promisor himself, or by the conduct of any other person, is called a â??contract of indemnity.â?? â??A contract by which one party promises to save the other from loss caused to him by the conduct of the promisor himself, or by the conduct of any other person, is called a â??contract of indemnity.â??" But in contract of guarantee there must principal debt there no debt so I think MTP may be wrong!
