Negative correlation is a relationship between two variables in which one variable increases as the other decreases, and vice versa. Positive correlation is a relationship between two variables such that their values increase or decrease together. The stopping distance is proportional to the square of the Speed of the car ( before applying brakes) i.e. If you double your speedâ?¦the distance required to stop your car becomes four times.
