Provision for depreciation is total depreciation over years. For each year you calculate depreciation based on available assets

Machines purchased in 2002 and 2008 are fully depreciated. So no more depreciation.

Okay sir...But my doubt is... in this problem they calculated provision for 2010 for 1 and half year and 2017 for one year and again 2019 for half year How to calculate those years sir..??

Okay sir...But my doubt is... in this problem they calculated provision for 2010 for 1 and half year and 2017 for one year and again 2019 for half year How to calculate those years sir..??

Plant purchased in 2010 is sold. The question mentions that all purchases and sales happen in mid of year. So 1/2 year for those sold. Full year for others.
