Is each director's authority specifically mentioned in the AoA or general authority of all the directors? Does an outsider (say Bank) have to know the authority of the specific director it is dealing with?

Authorities are given in COmpanies Act ( You will learn in Final). Plus it would be a part of AoA and also Shareholder's agreement. Generally all directors have the authority to exercise all powers which can be exercised by the company (except those matters which have been reserved for shareholders)

Can the authority be different for different directors. eg: Director X has more authority than Director Y?
