Director vs Whole Time Director

Does 'person who is in the employment of the company as a director' mean the same thing as a regular director? Or is it referring to a Whole Time Director? Asking with respect to disqualifications of a person to be appointed as Debenture Trustee

Such person is disqualified to be debenture trustee as such person is "director". Such person may be a Managing Director or Whole time director if they are full time employed depending on the need of the company
