Is any other book other than institute material is good for costing or only the institute material itself is useful

No other book is better than the Institute's material. You can take the other books for reference. But the ICAI material is the basic source through which all other books are prepared.

Going on preparations with other books may take more time but with comparablely with less knowledge. Go with the ICAI mat.
