Trade discount is the discount which is allowed when bulk purchase of goods are made. This discount will not be shown on the purchase invoice. Therefore only the amount net of trade discount will be taken for recording in the books of accounts. But Cash discount will be recorded as it is shown as a deduction from amount reflected on the invoice.
