In this question it is easier to find that n= 5 years but that months are so close to each other. how to find exactly the month?

Sorry Sir I couldn't understand how you are saying to use trial and error in that month calculation

WDV at end of Year 5 is ( 490740 x ( 0.85 power 5) = 217744 Depreciation for year six = 15% x 217744 = 32661. Try if 7/12 x 32661 is close to 17744 if it is - also try if 6/12 x 32661 is close to 17744 and see if answer is closer for 6 months or 7 months if 7/12 x 32661 is not close to 17744 then directly try 5/12 x 32661
