If I follow the procedure sir followed I'm getting answer. But I used another formula and I'm not getting answer So pls tell me where did I do wrong

We have some of roots as -b/a we do not know difference of roots so cannot apply what you have done and also U have take a^3-b^3 as (a-b)^3+3ab(a-b) but u took -3ab
