The equation is x^2 - x - 1 = 0. So, sum of roots is 1 and product of roots is -1. Find a - b using (a-b)^2 = (a+b)^2 - 4ab, which will come out to be sq root 5. Simplify the equation a^2/b - b^2/a by taking LCM and then fill values. You'll get D as answer. Let us know if any difficulty.
