How did we get 8.25 second last line?

Its not 8.25 its actually 82.5 We got it by taking lcm of hundred and subtracting from 17.5(profit)
If it was 8.25 your answer would be 0.726 and not 7.26 Do the calculation, u will understand

In icai material They have directly calculated the ratio Without doing the working as i have shown as we dont get much time in the exams
