Regarding exemption

I have applied for both groups in CA intermediate exam. I have appeared in all papers of group 1, but due to some unavoidable situation I'm unable to appear in group 2 papers.Is this will affect the exemption in group 1.

Concepts wise it might be easier. But exams can be difficult since you need to write essay answers in english.
