In this Jan 25 attempt, I have scored 62 in costing and got exemption but because of low aggregate I failed. My doubt is how many marks do I need to get in audit and fmsm to pass? Do I need to get 100 more marks or just 88 or 50 each in both subjects? Pls clarify sir

The pass mark for individual subjects is 40 marks however if you write one group then the aggregate should be more than 50% of total marks.. which means.. you should score more than 150 to clear a group... In your scenario you scored 62 marks in costing and got exemption but your overall marks would be below 150, so that's why you failed... You should have scored 89 (150-62) marks combined of FM/SM & Auditing to clear Group 2 . Anyways... Congrats... you got an exemption in costing which is hard to get... hats off for your efforts for getting exemption in costing...

thanks for ur response but i asked how many marks do i need to get in my next attempt to clear group 2. And yeah my total is 140 :( slightly depressed but i am glad that i dont have to prepare costing again... btw thank u so much... but some says we need to get 50 abv in each subject and some says 60 40 also fine but need to be more than 100... so i am very confused abt this.

You need to get 50% of total marks including the exemption... Which means you need to get MORETHAN 88 marks in the combination of Audit & FMSM. So I'm wishing you all the very best... Prepare and crack the group 2 exams.
