Sugam SMHere different input is giving different output like X. Y 2. 4 3. 9 -3 9 So it qualifies to be function. 1.My main question is which is input and which is output?(x or y) 2. Did sir solve it correctly?
Here X will be both positive and negative. But Y will be positive only. Hence y's range will only be positive numbers range is not equal to codomain Hence, it is not bijection
Is many to one relation is not function? I understood it as many input giving one output which holds good for function, but One input giving many output is not function. I think sir wrote it wrong It should have been since it is one to many like one value giving many output is not satisfying condition of function. Pavan sir if you see this please reply me.

Here even if u take (-2) square it will give you 4 and 2 square will give u 4 hence y's range will only be positive numbers range is not equal to codomain so it is not bijection

Range is not equal to codomain? They both are referred as same term right?
