A factory is where an economy's actual production process is carried out. The economic expansion is a result of it. The industry refers to a group of companies that produce the same product or service.


Factory is a single unit. Industry is a group of related firms (factories). So, industry is a broader term than factory.

Factory is a part of industry.. For example: A tyre manufacturing is industry but the MRF is the factory of this industry
