Ram sells goodwill of his shop to shyam for â?¹400000and promises not to carry on such business forever and anywhere in India, is the agreement valid or void???

Void agreement, however the seller can impose a condition that not to carry on same business and he can say not to carry the business for say 2-3 months but totally he cannot restrict the buyer from trading if he does so it is void
No that is not true it is void but seller of goodwill can't set up any buisness in a specific area for a specific period of time and regionable time and area is decided.
