The voting in case of joint holders is done in the order of seniority which is determined on the basis of the order in whi their names appear in the register of shareholders. The joint holders has right to instruct the company as to the order in which their names are to appear in the register
When shares are held by joint holders, The order in which name should appear in register shall be decided by holders ,it is the right provided by articles of most co. Here , Taneja wanted only his wife name to be appeared in the register, which is not possible. So, he may request to enter the name in such a way his wife name enters first in register, so that the priority is given to his wife in voting etc.
