Could someone explain the ii point under illustration 02 Which is given below

latest answer

With Retrospective effect, the company signed(made) an agreement with Employees union on 1-9-X2, for revision of wages from 30-9-X1 onwards. For that co. had to pay the additional amount of 5,00,000, due to revise of wages. So for that purpose the disclosure of that amount is necessary or not i.e; amount of 5L is correct amount or not to disclose.

The Date of Joining to Date of Signing off is to be excluded from the period of stay in India. In the question The Date of joining June 6th we have excluded 6th June & computed as remaining 25 days but for the date of signing off 9th December we have included 9th December also. Why is it so? We should consider only 8 days right? As they have reached on 9th December.

Why reconstruction of property is not included in cost of acquisition?

latest answer

The cost of acquisition is used to calculate the initial value of the property, which is important for determining capital gains or losses when the property is sold. Reconstruction or renovation usually occurs after the property has been acquired. If you choose to sell the property in the future, the reconstruction or renovation costs can be factored into the selling price, potentially allowing you to recoup some or all of those expenses.
