Accountancy
answered on 14-Aug-23 08:34
Is machinery considered an overhead cost? Also, in management accounting, how does accounting information help in knowing how to reach potential buyers? Isnt that more of a marketing decision? How will knowing accounts know the interest levels of potential buyers?
latest answer
Machine-related expenses are considered Overhead. With costing information you can decide how much to quote to buyers etc.

Considering your current progress, it might be a bit challenging to complete the entire syllabus by the November 2023 exams. However, you could consider the following options Prioritize Subjects: Focus on completing the subjects that you have a stronger grasp on, such as auditing, and try to excel in those. This way, you can maximize your chances of passing the exams. Exemption: If you feel confident in your understanding of certain topics in Advanced Accountancy, you could attempt to seek exemptions for those specific topics. Be sure to thoroughly review the exemption criteria and practice solving questions from those topics. Strategic Planning: Create a study plan that allocates time for each remaining topic based on their weightage and your comfort level. Allocate more time to challenging subjects and try to cover as much as possible. Realistic Assessment: Honestly evaluate your progress and understanding of the remaining syllabus. If you find that you're not able to cover everything comprehensively in time, it might be a better decision to delay taking the exams to a later session. Exam Readiness: Gauge your preparedness by taking practice tests and mock exams. This will help you identify areas that need further attention and give you a better idea of your chances of success.

Imputed cost
Costing
answered on 12-Aug-23 12:32
Can any one explain imputed cost with example Please
latest answer
Imputed cost refers to the hypothetical or estimated cost of using a resource that isn't directly paid for, but has an opportunity cost associated with it. In other words, it represents the value of forgoing the next best alternative when a resource is utilized. An example of imputed cost can be seen in homeownership. Imagine you own a house that you could rent out for Rs1,000 per month. If you choose to live in the house yourself, you're forgoing the rental income you could have earned. The imputed cost in this case is the Rs1,000 per month you could have earned if you had rented out the house

Industrial training

I wanna pursue industrial training but have the following concerns regarding the same: 1. Some say that you can opt for industrial after 18 months of your articleship and some say you can pursue it in the last year of your articleship. So which one is correct because if it is 18 months, then I can join from this October otherwise if it is the last year of articleship, then I will have to wait till April, 2024 and I don't wanna wait till then. 2. If it is 18 months, then it means I can join after 1.5 years of my articleship and the maximum duration for industrial is 12 months which sums up to 2.5 years of articleship. So will I have to go back to my principal and complete the remaining 6 months? 3. When I opt for industrial training, does it mean that my existing contract with my principal has ended or am I still bound by the same? 4. Does my current principal have the right to stop me from pursuing Industrial? Cause I am damn sure my principal would not allow me easily for industrial training but if there is a rule which preserves my right to pursue industrial, then I can use it while asking him for my industrial training. 5. Lastly, If I want to pursue my career in the field of finance, which firm would be the best for me to join for industrial training and what preparations should I do for the interview process?
