Regarding claim of other paper as exemption without lapse of previous exemption
Exams
answered on 03-Aug-23 15:12
I have been claiming exemption in P5 adv acc (since Nov2022) which is valid for one more attempt, recently In May 2023( I appeared other 3 papers and I got another exemption P6 auditing) I heard that both the exemptions can't be claimed for nov 2023 since they are not obtained in the same attempt. So I'm thinking to claim only audit as exemption and write adv acc again. Please help me regarding how to claim so and how I let know icai about this or this that ok if we select only audit as exemption during the exam form application will this be resolved .?

In this sum, Interim dividend paid on 15/01/22, but it is for period from beginning of financial year till 15/01/22 OR for full year 2021-22 Because they said interim dividend FOR THE YEAR 2021-22, it means for 1/04/21 till 31/03/21 Or For the period 1/04/21 till 15/01/22 Clarify

TDS not deducted
Direct Taxation
answered on 06-Aug-23 13:13
Hello frnds, One company didnt deduct TDS for loan processing charge(Rs,100000) for the loan they borrowed which is for asset building (borrowing cost)..ultimately loan processing charge wont affect in P & L as per companies act..what about IT act should we need to disallow 30% even though they loan processing charge is capitalised?
latest answer
Ultimately if there is any expense on which TDS attracts but if TDS is not done and payment is made to a resident then 30% of such expense is disallowed. If it is not booked as expense at all, then it may be ignored. However, Income Tax officer may question the same.
