TaX base for Government grant
Financial Reporting
answered on 17-Feb-26 17:08
Sir, in the attached question, Government grants are not taxable and they are taken to B/S. When the liability is not taxable, shouldn't we take carrying amount as Tax base ?
latest answer
In the case of revenue which is received in advance, the tax base of the resulting liability is its carrying amount, less any amount of the revenue that will not be taxable in future periods.

Sir, you have mentioned that the equalized cost of the machine in the year of purchase is considered in place of considering cashflows for all 8 years. What is the logic behind taking this way Sir? [Video Time Stamp: 11:19]

For reversal of IL, can I first reverse it for Machine A alone, then do the reversal calculation for the CGU as a whole? Mathematically it wont make a difference, so would that be ok?

answered on 06-Mar-26 11:34
Can I do both ITT and GMCS on the same day — ITT from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and GMCS from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM? Is there any issue, restriction, or rule regarding attending both courses on the same day with this schedule?
latest answer
Yes, it is possible if the institute allows it, though it seems a bit tiring to do it on the same day. Six hours each is a lot to take in back to back. Maybe you could check with the organizers and assess your ability to stay focused during the entire duration.

Cumulative probability
AFM
answered on 13-Feb-26 15:21
Why do we need to cumulate the probability for succeeding values or years? The probability provided for a specific value already factored in the probability of achieving the previous value, like Probability of life being 3 yrs - 0.05 and Probability for 4 yrs - 0.10. this 0.10 also includes the probability of crossing 3 yrs.
