Impairment of assets - Ind AS36

Financial Reporting

answered on 27-Feb-23 17:41

Sir In this question they have given recoverable amount for Plant A is 600 crore Then why u noted such 600 under CGU coloum instead of impairment coloum As u told that when in a CGU consists of goodwill, group of assets indicates impairment then first we need to carry out impairment process for such individual assets And next for CGU consists goodwill Here u didn't tested the individual assets for impairment that is u didn't enter recoverable amount for Plant A

latest answer

There is no individual asset in this question. Plant means a group of machinery, factory area and other aspects. So Plant is a CGU and we are testing impairment for the Plant as a whole.

Can bonus shares be issued in lieu of dividend ?? I I am.asking coz in IT , it says like it can't be issued

latest answer

Its not a prohibition. What it says is if a company pays bonus instead of paying dividend, deduction will not be allowed. Because dividends payments are not deductible.

A company can have multiple House Banks, each representing a different set of bank accounts.
