Well u need to remember 3 basic things 1. Income accrues/ received in India then such income shall be taxable in case of all three types of persons such as Resident and ordinary resident, Non resident, Resident but not ordinary resident 2. Income accrues or arising outside India in this case it shall be taxable in hands of Resident and ordinary resident It is not taxable in case of Non resident And in case of resident but not ordinary resident it shall be taxable only when such income derived from business controlled in or profession set up in India Well lets see ur case Resident and ordinary resident= 160000+0(15000 pension standard deduction of 50000)+4000+20000+30000+12000 Resident but not ordinary resident= 160000+0+2000+12000 Non resident= 160000+0+2000

If cash book blance is give and adjustment is like â?¹500 DISCOUNT RECEIVED WRONGLY ENTERED IN BANK COLUMN, what the treatment for this
latest answer
It is not the way you guys are thinking. If you remember the three column cash book the discount received was on the credit side and according to the question the amount of 500/- is wrongly entered in the bank column instead of discount received column. Since the discount received column is in the credit side of the cash book so the 500/- is entered in the bank column of credit side. To reconcile it we will have to debit it i.e. add it back.
