In which topic order is required

latest answer

Precis follows the order of the original material, but the summary need not follow the exact order of the original matter. However summary should have the same information from original material (nothing to be added or removed ) and there should be no assumptions in summary .

Securities Held for trade

Accountancy

answered on 09-Jun-22 19:26

Sir, as per AS 13 securities held for stock in trade are not investments and they are also excluded from inventories as per AS 2 then how should be they treated ?

latest answer

As per AS 13 Shares, debentures and other securities held as stock-in-trade (i.e., for sale in the ordinary course of business) are not â??investmentsâ?? as defined in this Standard. However, the manner in which they are accounted for and disclosed in the financial statements is quite similar to that applicable in respect of current investments. Accordingly, the provisions of this Standard, to the extent that they relate to current investments, are also applicable to shares, debentures and other securities held as stock-in-trade, with suitable modifications as specified in this Standard.

CA INTER COSTING CHAP 9 OF ICAI MODULE Q3(JOB AND CONTRACT COSTING)

Costing

answered on 13-Jun-22 12:24

I have a doubt regarding chapter 9 contract costing question 3.In this problem while calculation of estimate profit shouldn't we add last year stock material worth 4250 in Material as these were last year material and they were been used this year. And moreover the question says we issued new material instead of use so obviously the last year leftover material will be used in the final year. Q3 of icai module

latest answer

Please check at the profit estimate. The first period material cost is 75000. From this that 4250 is not deducted. So there is no need to add again
