If i am into stock market and i am continuously buying and selling shares (always hold for <12m) Under which head my income is taxable? STCG or PGBP? Will share trading be taxable under PGBP?

latest answer

Usually, if the income from sales of shares is earned by a person at regular intervals it should be treated as business income. If the intention of the assessee is for investment, it is treated as capital gains. it depends upon the tax payer or the assessee to reflect its income by giving proper justification of the same.
