it means auditor is not investigator as he does not get powers.....he will just check already made financial statements by management...whether appropriate accounting policies followed or accounting estimate are reasonable...and after this all obtain sufficient & appropriate audit evidence...on the basis of this ...express his opinion and REPORT it to the shareholders who appointed him.

Sec 96;If first agm of a company is conducted within 9 months from the date of closing of financial year then the company is not required to conduct agm in its incorporation year. The company has failed to conduct annual general meeting within the time specified above.then how can a company conduct an AGM in the year of its incorporation? 2 point (a)(ii)
