What is the meaning of this highlighted point
latest answer
Aman causes loss to Bharat. Chandar (indemnifier) had contract of indemnity with Bharat i.e. Chandar will indemnify Bharat for any loss caused by Aman. Here even though there is indemnity for Bharat, but since Aman caused loss to him, Bharat can sue A. The highlighted point says, Chandar can't sue Aman as there is no contract / relationship between Aman and Chandar. However, Chandar would get this right, if Bharat assigns him that through assignment.

Here, it's given in the example that X may agree for such contract. As X entered into the contract beforehand, so he is liable to pay for the damages. Otherwise, he isn't liable. See the attachment for better understanding.
